Ralph Cimperman
President and Founder

Since 2004, Ralph Cimperman has served as President of MarathonHR, a Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) firm he founded that same year. MarathonHR provides administrative and consultative services for small to medium sized businesses in the areas of Payroll Services, Benefits Administration, Human Resource Administration, Risk Management and Safety and Retirement Plans.

Prior to starting MarathonHR, Ralph was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of a Georgia-based professional employment organization (PEO). From 1991 to 1999, Ralph was a Senior Consultant for PFCA/LUMEN, a health care consulting company that focused on the operational restructuring of health care institutions. Ralph managed relationships with hospital executives and led restructuring projects ranging from the redesign of individual units to the restructuring of all roles within an institution. Ralph began his professional career at Rohm and Haas Company, a Fortune 500 specialty chemical company. He was promoted from Process Engineer to Marketing Manager to Operations Manager over the course of a decade.

Ralph is a member of the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate from the Human Resource Certification Institute. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University.

Married for 25 years, Ralph and his wife, Dawn, are parents to three children. Ralph enjoys running in his spare time as well as working with the youth at Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Scott Williamson
Sales and Relationship Manager

Scott comes to MarathonHR after a career in the United States Navy. He focuses on sales and customer service, and is integral in MarathonHR achieving a 90% client retention rate.

Scott has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Piedmont College and an Associate Degree in Accounting from City College of Chicago. He is a Certified Recruiter for the Navy as well as a Certified Command Career Counselor. Scott considers a highlight of his career to be working as Recruiter in Charge for the Navy for two years. As a Command Career Counselor, he was responsible for a crew of 250.

Scott is a licensed P&C insurance agent in Georgia. He is a member and past President of Business Network International (BNI).

Originally from North Georgia, Scott is married with two young children. For fun, Scott likes to golf and wake board.

Kelly Sanchez
Payroll and Payroll Tax Coordinator

Kelly takes the lead on payroll and payroll taxes for MarathonHR clients. She has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to starting with MarathonHR in 2005, Kelly was with Butler Fleet Services as a payroll processor.
Kelly has received Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association. Kelly has two children who keep her busy outside of the office.

Gena Stark
Customer Service Representative

Gena is dedicated to making MarathonHR clients happy. She oversees our customer service operations as well as new client conversion. Additionally, she works as a benefits administrator and specializes in workman’s compensation and unemployment claims. Gena joined the MarathonHR team in 2006.

Prior to MarathonHR, Gena worked at Federated Insurance for 14 years. She worked in several areas at Federated including claims, accounting, marketing and customer service. When she left in 1999 to raise her two children, Gena was a Risk Analyst/Senior Underwriter.

Gena holds a P & C Insurance License. She likes to read and spend time with her husband, kids and dog.
