Leaving things to chance is not an advisable risk management strategy

Risk management and workplace safety go hand in glove. They are essential for any company. Many small to-medium sized business owners simply don’t have the time or resources to manage risk management solutions.

Good policies and procedures are the foundation of a safe workplace. A safe workplace begins with our best hiring practices, a solid employee handbook and new employee safety orientation. Maintenance of safety in the workplace is done through periodic safety meetings, accident investigation and audits by our experienced Risk Managers.

OSHA Transparent Data Ruling – Effective January 1, 2017

New OSHA Transparent Data Ruling

Intended to “reduce work-related injuries and illnesses,” OSHA is requiring certain companies to increase data transparency by making information about workplace injuries and illnesses available online. The new rule, which takes effect on January 1, 2017, will require changes to reporting processes to be phased in over two years:

  • Companies with more than 250 employees in industries covered by the recordkeeping regulation must submit information from their 2016 Form 300A by July 1, 2017. These same employers will be required to submit information from all 2017 forms (300A, 300, and 301) by July 1, 2018. Beginning in 2019 and every year thereafter, the information must be submitted by March 2.
  • Establishments with 20-249 employees in certain high-risk industries must submit information from their 2016 Form 300A by July 1, 2017, and their 2017 Form 300A by July 1, 2018. Beginning in 2019 and every year thereafter, the information must be submitted by March 2.
